Eric Watkins wrote an article, How much does turfgrass research cost?, for the March issue of Golf Course Management, a publication of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

The Turfgrass Science team from the University of Minnesota was well-represented at this year’s ASA-CSSA-SSSA Annual Meeting held on November 10-13, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.  Seven people gave oral presentations and five people presented posters. Additionally, congratulations go to two members of our group who placed in the graduate student oral presentation contests:

Garett Heineck, Sam Bauer, Matt Cavanaugh, Andrew Hollman, Eric Watkins, and Brian Horgan co-authored “Variability in Creeping Bentgrass Cultivar Germinability as Influenced by Cold Temperatures” in the April 2019 edition of the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendent Association’s Hole Notes publication.
