UMN Turfgrass Team at Lakeville's Watershed Cleanup & Earth Day Celebration!

a trailer with educational turfgrass displays outside at an event

On Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the city of Lakeville is having their Watershed Cleanup and Earth Day Celebration. It will be located at the city’s Central Maintenance Facility at 7570 179th Street West, Lakeville, MN.

In addition to participating in the watershed cleanup and other activities provided by the city of Lakeville, please stop by and see Dominic Christensen and our mobile educational trailer in person. The focus of our educational trailer is to educate residents regarding lawn care and irrigation best management practices. Dominic will answer your questions regarding low-input lawn maintenance, how to manage your lawn water use or just about anything else relating to lawns.

This project is funded by the Metropolitan Council. To learn about our work on smart irrigation controllers and turfgrass irrigation efficiency, please visit the UMN Turfgrass Science's Irrigation Resources webpage and the Metropolitan Council's Irrigation Efficiency webpage.
