UMN Turfgrass Team at Hennepin County Master Gardener Learning Garden Tour - 7/12/25

We will be at the Hennepin County Master Gardeners Learning Garden Tour on Saturday, July 12, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the tour. 

Please stop by and see the educational displays on lawn care and irrigation best management practices. The Turfgrass Science team will be there to answer your questions regarding low-input lawn maintenance, how to manage your lawn water use or just about anything else relating to lawns. 


New date! Parks, Fields and Grounds Field Day with UMN Turfgrass and MPSFMA

The Parks, Fields and Grounds Field Day originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025 has been postponed until Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Registration is open for our UMN Turfgrass Parks, Fields and Grounds Field Day! The field day will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Register now - All About Bee Lawns workshop!

Interested in learning how to make a lawn more desirable to pollinators? This workshop will cover everything you need to know about growing and maintaining a bee lawn.


Lawn Care Basics Workshop - register now!

Interested in having a lawn that requires less maintenance? Join Extension Educator Jon Trappe for an introductory workshop on lawn care basics on Saturday, March 22, 2025, 1:00-3:30 p.m. Attendees can register to attend in-person at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or join via Zoom online. The fee is $45 for members of the Arboretum or $65 for non-members, and includes Arboretum admission and all supplies.
