UMN Extension now has new materials on everything you need to know to establish and maintain a fine fescue lawn! Are you interested in a lawn that needs less maintenance? Fine fescues might be what you're looking for. Not only do fine fescues have lower maintenance requirements, they have better tolerance for shade and are adapted to most growing conditions in Minnesota.

University of Minnesota Extension is conducting a candidate search for a newly developed, full-time position in turfgrass irrigation and water resources. This position is funded for three years with the expectation that it will continue beyond that date. DEADLINE extended to March 6, 2022.

New Extension Educator - Turfgrass

We are happy to announce that Maggie Reiter has accepted the position of Extension Educator - Turfgrass with University of Minnesota Extension. Maggie has been with University of California Cooperative Extension since 2016. Prior to that, she earned both her undergraduate and Master’s degrees at the University of Minnesota. Maggie has done an excellent job building a turfgrass Extension program in her current position in central California, and we are excited for her to build upon prior Extension efforts in Minnesota.
