Join our community of research and academic professionals as an Assistant Professor leading research on Turfgrass Science in the Department of Horticultural Science!

We invite candidates with a passion for collaborative research, extension, and teaching to apply. The successful candidate will continue our established turfgrass research program by setting direction and objectives for continued plant physiology of turfgrass while utilizing appropriate technologies to reduce inputs for turfgrass in an environmentally and economically sustainable way.

This position is a full-time, nine-month (academic year) tenure-track appointment involving 60% teaching, 20% research, and 20% extension. The successful candidate is required to participate in professional development opportunities supporting teaching and advising to undergraduate and graduate students within the department. The incumbent in this position will also work closely with the Extension Educator in Turfgrass and provide leadership for statewide turfgrass science extension targeting multiple audiences including professional turfgrass managers, grass seed and sod producers, and residents.
