Interested in learning how to make a lawn more desirable to pollinators? This workshop will cover everything you need to know about growing and maintaining a bee lawn.

Extension Educator Jon Trappe and researcher Kristine Moncada from the UMN Turfgrass Science team will explain what bee lawns are, what they mean for pollinators and the environment, as well as what has been learned from more than 10 years of research on the best management practices for planting and maintaining bee lawns. At the end of the workshop, participants will take a plant walk and view a few bee lawns at the Arboretum.

The workshop will be held Tuesday, August 20, 6-8 p.m. at Bee Center at the Farm at the Arb at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Fee: $45 member-Master Gardener Volunteer/$65 non-member, includes Arboretum admission and  supplies. Learn more and register today!
