Hello everyone! My name is Isaiah Harken and I am excited to join the University of Minnesota Turfgrass Science group as the Turfgrass Facility Lead. I am originally from the Twin Cities metro area and am thrilled to be back home after almost five years in Arizona and four years of undergraduate studies at North Dakota State University.

While in undergrad I did turfgrass internships in Colorado, North Dakota and New York at various golf courses. After school I accepted a position in Arizona to be an Assistant Superintendent. I am interested in turfgrass stress as it relates to human foot traffic (i.e. How much impact does a full tee sheet of players walking around have on a putting green?)

I’m excited to join the team and further my turfgrass knowledge.
