The Turfgrass Science team will be at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair starting Thursday, August 27 through Labor Day Monday, September 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day. We will be located in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) wing (southwest hall) of the Agriculture Horticulture building, located on the corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood Street.
Come visit our exhibit to get answers to all your lawn care questions - from smart irrigation to choosing the right grass seed to controlling weeds - and to learn about careers in turf! We also have demonstration plots outside the building, where you can see side-by-side comparisons of different grasses suitable for Minnesota lawns.
Our presence at the fair is due to a partnership with the Metropolitan Council on the Reducing water use on Twin Cities lawns through research, education, and outreach project. We hope to see you at the fair!
